Balanced Body Education believes that a high-quality educational experience leads to exceptional teachers and exceptional teachers change lives.

Specific Pilates sessions for one-to-one and small groups. Remedial Pilates for those with long term debilitating problems or injury related issues. Pilates for age-related physical problems, for pre & post natal women, for horse riders, golfers, etc.

One-to-One Sessions

For those who have been referred by a health practitioner, have a specific need / injury they need to address or those wanting a quick-start to regular sessions. A full postural analysis will be carried out and any issues  discussed. One-to-One is also suitable for those who simply prefer personal tuition.

Small Group Sessions

Small Group sessions are for between two and four people, each benefiting from their own programme, using a mix of mat-work and equipment. Small Group sessions are an ideal way for friends and family to share  the cost of more personalised tuition that is not possible in a class situation.

Our Pilates instructor training programmes are designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers. Our courses are taught in modular segments. This gives students the flexibility to choose when to complete the programme. Each module is self-contained so you can take them as quickly or as slowly as your schedule and budget allow.

Balanced Body Pilates Education comprehensively presents the works of Joseph H. Pilates. Our signature and innovative Balanced Body approach teaches the repertoire as well as movement principles and the practical day to day instructional applications of each of the exercises. We encourage you to explore and create your own voice and style as a practitioner as we believe this approach respects the past and innovates the future.

Balanced Body’s master instructors, manuals and accompanying videos are considered to be some of the best Pilates resources in the industry.

Pilates Classes for beginners to advanced, mat or equipment based.

Mat Classes

A beginners mat course is recommended for anyone new to Pilates. Blocks are usually six weeks in length but can vary due to holidays. We limit classes to ten people to ensure maximum personal tuition. Classes incorporate small equipment such as magic circles, Pilates arcs, togu balls and foam rollers.

Reformer Classes

Mat-work experience is useful but not a pre-requisite. Reformer classes add resistance to the repertoire and give a more challenging work-out. Sessions are limited to six people to ensure maximum personal tuition and safety.

Buff Bones Classes

Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed, full body workout for bone strengthening and balance. It integrates Pilates, strength training, functional movement and rehabilitative exercise to improve the health and longevity of your bones and joints. It is adaptable to varying levels and is safe for those with osteoporosis.

News & Updates

Pilates Teacher Training:

Teacher training starts again in September with a revised curriculum. Movement Principles is a new compulsory module that teaches you how the body works and how to train it. Thereafter you can follow the Mat track or Reformer only track.  Go to Course Schedule.

Pilates Classes:

New block of classes starts 3rd September. Two new Beginner classes on Tuesdays - 10:30am & 6:15pm. New Buff Bones class on Fridays 9:15am.
